SCULPTURES | 12 Images
In the late 1960's, Erlich's studio included a complete welding shop. She used bolts, pipes and corskscrews to create small figures she refered to as her "little men". The series sold out almost immediately. In the 1980's and 90's, Erlich concentrated more of her time on sculpting, a field which had always fascinated her. Having mastered metal sculpture, she went on to work in dichroic glass, mirrored glass and wood combined rawhide and bronze. She produced her marble pieces, both monumental and maquette, in Pietrasanta, Italy. One of her last commissioned pieces was a welded fountain for the RMS Brandy distillery (which has changed hands several times and is currently Beringer Etude Winery) in Napa, California.
